Welcome to Faaris! Your privacy is incredibly important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Faaris mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

Faaris is designed to be a privacy-first application. We only request permissions necessary to provide the core functionality of the app—blocking distractions during prayer times.

• Location Data: We request Location permissions (Foreground and Background) to accurately calculate Islamic prayer times based on your geographical coordinates. This data is processed locally on your device to fetch prayer times.
• Usage Stats (App Activity): To block distracting apps, we require the PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS permission. We only use this to detect if a blocked app is brought to the foreground during a prayer time interval so we can show the lock screen. We do not track, log, or send your app usage history to our servers.
• Overlay Permission: We request SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW permission to draw the lock screen over distracting apps.

2. How We Use Your Information

The permissions we request are strictly used to:

• Determine accurate prayer times using your location.
• Identify when a selected distracting app is opened and block it immediately.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties.

3. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of all information collected through the Service. Your prayer schedules, selected blocked apps, and location preferences are stored locally on your device.

4. Children's Privacy

Faaris does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Children has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us.
